Molly Parden x Louisa Stancioff x Eliza Edens. October 2nd.
Songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Molly Parden, Eliza Edens, and Louisa Stancioff are teaming up to bring a tour de force of alternative folk to listening rooms across the country. Stancioff, a recent signee of North Carolina-based label YepRoc Records, will have her buoyant rock songs in tow that mythologize her rural Maine upbringing. Molly Parden, also a touring member of Darlingside, writes kaleidoscopic folk-pop songs that peruse heartache to find glimpses of hope. Brooklyn-based Eliza Edens rounds out the line-up with a glowing collection of songs that transform despair into opportunity. The trio will be accompanying each other on guitar, bass, fiddle, and backing vocals to conjure up a mesmerizing evening of masterfully-crafted art-folk.
[Just added: Riverbed]
Riverbed, an indie folk project by Christie Woods-Lucas, emerged from over a decade of solo and group performances under the name Dirty Bird, drawing inspiration from memory, transience, and deep ties to place. The music evokes natural landscapes, with the name symbolizing stability beneath constant movement. In Christie’s songs, nature and place form a foundation of hope amid life’s challenges, while innovative arrangements and poetic lyrics explore resilience through loss, sorrow, and change. The project features collaborations with Natasha Thweatt, Melissa Escudero, Blake Suben, Nick Katz, and Eli Greenhoe.
