Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit more than one design?

Yes. Artists are welcome to submit multiple entries. Each submission should be uploaded separately through the form.

Do I need to be a local artist?

No. The Foam Canvas Contest is open to artists worldwide.

What file types do you accept?

We accept a wide range of formats, including Adobe Illustrator (AI), PDF (High Quality Print), PSD, Procreate, Fresco, PNG, and JPG files.

What size and resolution should my artwork be?

Final artwork should be designed for a label approximately 9 inches wide by 5 inches tall.

For raster files (PNG or JPG), we recommend a minimum of 300 DPI at full size to ensure print quality.

Can I submit hand-drawn or painted artwork?

Absolutely. If working in physical media, please scan or photograph your artwork in high resolution with even lighting and minimal distortion.

Are layers required for digital files?

Layers are not required, encouraged to use when possible. For Procreate, PSD, Fresco, or similar formats, we strongly encourage keeping files organized and layered when possible.

Who owns the artwork?

Artists always retain full ownership of their submitted artwork.

Only the selected winning artist’s work will be used for revenue-generating applications, including the Canvas beer label and any merchandise or materials directly related to the Canvas beer or Canvas Contest.

Artwork that is not selected as the winner may only be used for non-revenue, promotional purposes related to the Canvas Contest itself, such as showcasing submissions, announcing winners, or promoting future contest rounds. Non-winning submissions will not be used on beer labels, merchandise, or other Foam products.

My file is too large to upload. What should I do?

Our submission form accepts files up to 10MB. If your artwork requires a larger file size for quality print, please upload a compressed version under 10MB and include a download link to the full-resolution file in the “Additional Comments” section of the form.

You may also email the full file to info@foambrewers.com with the subject line “Canvas Contest Submission.”
