Foam Presents: Chicky Stoltz Polecat Vinyl Release Show.
Polecat is the fifth album by Chicky Stoltz. A retrospective project, the goal was to take tracks from his first four home-recorded albums and reimagine them in a full studio setting. The process spanned fifteen years, and the result is Polecat.
At its core, Polecat became a story about old friends. Recorded just down the street from Chicky’s childhood home at Hearstudios in Camden, ME, the album features not only accomplished musicians but lifelong friends—some relationships dating back 45 years or more. Counting the years gets tough with this group.
The core rhythm section on the recording was handled by The Charlie Nobles, a group primarily known as the house band aboard the schooner Stephen Taber out of Rockland, ME. They have also served as Chicky Stoltz’s live band for performances across the Northeast.
Additional contributions include:
The album was recorded and mixed by Jason Hearst at Hearstudios in Camden, ME. Jason’s tireless attention and structured support set the perfect tone for the process, allowing the music to find its true form.Polecat is available in both digital and vinyl formats. The digital version can be streamed on most major platforms, while the 12” vinyl record is available directly from the artist at live shows or by contacting cstoltzhi@gmail.com.
