Woods make their Foam Brewers debut with a rare, intimate ticketed show in the taproom. Touring in support of their latest album Perennial, the Brooklyn-based band brings their signature blend of psychedelic pop, folk-rock, and exploratory songwriting to Burlington.
Formed in 2004, Woods have quietly built one of the most enduring and influential catalogs in the independent music world. Operating the Woodsist label and curating the beloved Woodsist Festival, the band has spent nearly two decades evolving while staying deeply rooted in melody, texture, and communal creativity. As music writer Jesse Jarnow writes, “Woods are in bloom again, inviting you to disappear into a new spectrum of colors and sounds and dreams on Perennial.” The album reflects a band still experimenting, still restless, and still finding new ways to sound like themselves.
Opening the night is Edsel Axle, the solo project of North Carolina–based singer and guitarist Rosali Middleman. On Variable Happiness, Middleman leans into slow-burning, electric-guitar meditations recorded at home on a four-track cassette setup. The result is deeply personal, hypnotic folk rock that moves between restraint and release, balancing patience, texture, and emotional weight.
This is a standing-room, ticketed show in Foam’s taproom. Come early, grab a beer, and settle in for a special night.
