The Vermont Synthesizer Society comes to Foam for a night of experimential electronic music.
Burial Woods is a queer, non-binary musician from Burlington who creates industrial-tinged darkwave and synth pop. Drawing on the sounds and vibes of the ’80s and ’90s goth and industrial scenes, their music fuses melancholic atmosphere with sharp pop sensibilities.
Corey Riddell is a Burlington-based electronic musician and artist, demotivational speaker, field recordist, and stress-inducing sound bather. Expect live sampling, the sounds of wind in the trees and breaking lake ice, bass-y kicks and weird vibes, "always improvised, usually sounds good."
Gliders is a live-improvisational electronic music collaboration between Doug Krieger (Strelka) and Tom Pashby (pashtron) based in Burlington, VT. Employing drum machines, computers, and modular synthesizers, Gliders prepares systems for live improvisation, creating rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic forms in real-time, providing a new experience in every performance.
Temperythm is a music maker from Burlington VT who creates electronic music within a wide range of styles and influences, locked down by groovy beats, synth textures, and a tendency towards wild improvisation.
Acacia Bridge performs experimental, gritty, bass heavy beats and electronics. Once called a young Jedi by techno originator Derrick May, Eric-Allen has spent his musical career playing at such historic venues as The Knitting Factory and Bowery Poetry Club in NYC, The Works and Jacoby’s in Detroit as well as the Detroit Tricentennial event at Hart Plaza sharing bills with a wide diversity of artists including Todd Osbourne, Shaun Reeves, Kevin Saunderson, Doormouse, Casper Electronics and Stevie Wonder.
Visuals for Synth Night come from Silence_Castor. Silence_Castor is a multi-media visual artist bridging the worlds between audio and video. Using Touchdesigner, sensors, mics, and controllers, he is able to make all encompassing visuals installations, live audio visuals for shows, and interactive experiences.
