Join us on Thursday, August 7 for a free show featuring Tea Eater and Ista.
[Tea Eater]
No one’s more fun in the post (or present) apocalypse than Tea Eater. Fronted by Tarra Thiessen (Gustaf, Sharkmuffin), the NYC-based art punk band made waves with their debut LP Obsession in 2023, produced by Drew Vandenberg (Bambara, Faye Webster, Of Montreal).
They’ve supported Thee Oh Sees, Sloppy Jane, and Death Valley Girls; toured the US and EU; played Distorsion Psych Fest; and held a month-long LA residency. In 2024, they dropped the Technicolor Rash / NY Myth 7" on Greenway Records, plus a star-shaped remix release of “Cosmic Coconut.”
Their new LP, I Don’t Believe in Bad Luck, follows a psychic who’s over it all—including herself. The record dives into the absurd and the existential, from waffles and bugs to butter and burnout, reimagining personal chaos with fuzzed-out hooks and dark humor.
[ISTA]
ISTA is a Brooklyn-based psychedelic rock band blending gritty funk, punk urgency, and spacious, sub-synth-laced grooves into an electrifyingly immersive live show. Led by vocalist-instrumentalist duo Rex Costello and Diona West, the group weaves together raw energy and thoughtful arrangement, creating songs that move between dance floor momentum, ecstatic revelry and emotional depth. With a seven-piece lineup and a wide palette of influences, ISTA brings something fresh and expansive to every stage they hit.
