[Remi Russin]
Remi Russin is a singer-songwriter from Burlington, Vermont, whose music channels the evocative sounds of '80s new wave icons like the Cure and Joy Division into a modern dream-pop and rock fusion. A well-regarded figure in the Queen City’s indie scene, Russin is also known for their work with the band Community Garden but stands out as a solo artist with a unique voice and vision.
With A Second Pass, their first major release since 2021’s Math for Poets, Russin delivers seven tracks that blend shimmering synths, layered guitars, and introspective lyrics. From the wistful build of “Having Dogs” to the existential musings of “Xantham Gum,” Russin’s songs explore themes of companionship, memory, and the delicate balance between joy and despair.
Confidently straddling the line between vulnerability and resilience, Remi Russin’s music captures small, poignant moments that speak to universal emotions, making them a standout voice in contemporary indie music.
