While he is known best for his Indie Rock band Paper Castles, Are You Now? is Paddy Reagan's instrumental ensemble with a rotating cast of musicians playing his arrangements of songs from the late American Songbook including The Beatles, Arthur Russell, and Radiohead.
After dropping out of college in 2005, Reagan spent 20 years of living and working in the music Burlington music scene, and in 2025 finished his degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Vermont. While this ensemble doesn't play typical standards from the Great American Songbook, Reagan finds inspiration from the later era songwriters like John Lennon, Radiohead, Karen Dalton, Nick Drake, and the late, great cellist, songwriter, and improviser, Arthur Russell, while honoring the work of guitarists like Bill Frisell and John Scofield.
