Marty Fogel (saxophones, clarinet, flute) has played and toured internationally with major jazz artists, trumpeter Don Cherry and baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan. He also spent several years performing and recording in the band of the legendary rock artist Lou Reed. Marty was a cofounder of The Everyman Band, an innovative and internationally acclaimed group which toured throughout Europe and recorded 2 albums for ECM Records. His recording, “many bobbing heads at last...." was released by the German label, CMP Records.

A new recording of Marty’s original music, “ Now and Then”, was released in July, 2023. He currently performs with his own groups, Marty Fogel’s Mixed Bag Quartet or Trio, ClearFog Duo with Tom Cleary and Thread of Blue. Marty has also been a recipient of a performance grant from the National Endowment for the Arts which funded several concerts of his original music.
