Vermont expat and artist Emma Yardley returns home for the opening of Lines & Dots, an exhibit of new art showing one week from today.
Currently a Bozeman-based artist and a longtime friend of our Creative Director, Emma grew up in Vermont and (like many others) spent much of her childhood in nature. Once old enough, she traveled to Argentina and New Zealand, living in her truck for 7 years, traveling and making art. She started drawing lines on her tailgate to stay connected with friends. Inspired by fly fishing adventures with her father, she began drawing flys and fish, landing herself in the FlyFish Journal and Flylords Mag. From there, her career in art took off, exploring and mastering the art of mural painting all over the world, eventually leading to artist collaborations with Patagonia and Yeti. After landing in Bozeman, she took a step back from art to work as a Legal and Anti-Trafficking Advocate at a domestic violence shelter. Though still passionate about this work, she’s recently come back to art full time. Her new collection at Foam represents a welcome back to her favorite world, one of lines and dots.
Come see Lines and Dots on Friday. The show will extend from the brewery to our restaurant space next door. Beer, wine, and tasty snacks will be flowing. 6pm-close.
p.s. You might recognize her work from the label for KOHA, a favorite DIPA of ours brewed with our friends at Freestyle Hops. And there’s more where that came from. Stay tuned for a future release featuring Emma’s work!
