Foam Presents: Greg Freeman solo show! Friday, November 29th with The Big Net (solo) and Osage Orange. 8pm, free show. Celebrating the release of a new beer named Long Distance Driver featuring art by Dean Liebau.
Greg Freeman
Greg Freeman’s debut LP I Looked Out weaves biblical deluges, apocalyptic visions, and Floridian miscreants into a raw, urgent sound. His voice cuts through static, delivering songs like the punchy “Tower,” the country-tinged “Souvenir Heart,” and the singalong “Palms.” The 7-piece band enhances the album with pedal steel, horns, and eerie strings, while Greg’s sharp narrative songwriting shines throughout.
The Big Net
The Big Net is a folk-rock trio based in the Northeastern United States, featuring Kevin Copeland on guitar and vocals, Andrew Emge on drums, and Logan Miley on bass and recording engineering. Their music blends elements of drone, country, folk, and rock, creating a distinctive sound described as “the sweet howling of a dog in a moving car.”
Osage Orange
Osage Orange, the project of singer-songwriter Nick Varisano, blends atmospheric synths and textured guitars into “electric desert folklore.” After a snowboarding accident sidelined him from playing traditional instruments, Varisano turned to synths and drum machines, creating *Snake Skin Chants*. Recorded in Austin with Roger Paul Mason, the album marks a shift from the band’s alt-folk roots, featuring haunting melodies, retro-futuristic vibes, and a sense of resolve.
