Upon its release, Marcie Hernandez's debut album, Amanecer, was recognized as a “stunning debut by a seriously promising artist…” (Seven Days). The album encapsulates a genre-bending sound rooted in her unique bi-cultural upbringing: Marcie is of Puerto Rican descent and first-gen in her family to be born in the U. S. mainland.
Marcie is a classically trained singer and certified music therapist. Her music is where her story as a first-gen Puerto Rican-American and her work as a therapist meet. When you listen to her songs, you’re joining a journey of resilience and transformation.
Over the past decade, Marcie's been able to perform for a wide variety of venues and festivals in Vermont including Grand Point North, Waking Windows, Burlington Jazz Fest, Highlight NYE and Higher Ground.
This isn't just a concert-- it’s a heartfelt 'thank you' to the community that’s been there from the start. Let's send her off with a full house and a final, unforgettable night of joy.
