[Tallgrass Getdown]
TallGrass GetDown is a Folkalicious fellowship originally formed in Johnson Vermont circa 2011 by founding members Long Gone John, Django Soulo and Dave Langevin. In their early years they regularly packed venues around Northern Vermont with their high energy raucous approach to the traditional sounds of americana, folk, bluegrass and ragtime. Playing at many of the area's most beloved regional festivals including The Frendly Gathering, Manifestivus, and Otis Mountain Getdown they shared the stage with acts such as Taj Mahal, Dr. Dog, Railroad Earth, Shakey Graves, The Felice Brothers, Toubab Krewe, Cabinet and many others. After a few years hiatus while Long Gone John explored the country travelling, touring and recording his first Album "Miles Away" he returned to Vermont and reformed the band with help from Braden Lalancette (The Wormdogs) and a rotating cast of new players from around the Vermont music scene filling out the lineup.
