Deep City Brings New Brunch Classics to Burlington’s Waterfront

Here in Burlington, we're lucky enough to call one of the most picturesque waterfronts in New England our home. Amidst a deeply enriched culture and passionate community, our city is home to a variety of incredible restaurants, each with their own unique dining and culinary experience. Even with so many  options, brunch on the waterfront is seriously lacking. For locals and visitors alike, enjoying a delicious breakfast while soaking in the beautiful waterfront scenery should be an essential Burlington experience. Don’t worry, Deep City’s here to help fill the void.

Overlooking Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks, Deep City offers real food using the freshest ingredients from local purveyors and farms. For example, our friends and hop farmers Kevin and Karen Broderick of Whitefield Hop Farm feed their chickens with our own spent grain. Their eggs then supply Deep City’s kitchen with all of the eggs we could ever need. Talk about full circle. With access to top notch ingredients such as that, patio seating, and Chef Christina Sifo’s extensive culinary expertise, Deep City’s brunch is the perfect addition to Burlington’s culinary culture.

On the menu, you’ll find something for everyone. Whether it’s sweet, savory, lite fare, gluten free, vegan, or vegetarian, Deep City has you covered. You can check out the full menu here, but we figured we would highlight a few favorites.

On the lighter side, the “Yogurt Brunch Bowl” includes (surprise!) Greek yogurt plus fresh fruit, house-made granola, and raw wildflower honey from the bee hives we keep near our barrel house in Charlotte, Vermont.

It wouldn’t feel like brunch without eggs benedict on the menu, and Deep City’s really breaks the mold. The Slow Fire Foccacia Benny is prepared with mojo braised pork and braised greens below the mustard hollandaise dressed poached egg, all atop fresh focaccia from one of our favorite local bakeries.

Not a meat eater? The Vegan Benny is a mind bender with  its pastrami seitan, yellow pepper hollandaise, and baked “eggs.” Be sure to ask for the house-made hot sauce to tie it all together!

Last but not least, we can’t forget the Brioche Crispy French Toast for all of those brunch sweet tooths out there. This beauty is topped with Maine blueberry compote, citrus yogurt whip, and maple syrup.

With an additional full beverage menu featuring classic brunch cocktails, breakfast wine, and of course a selection of our signature Foam beer, all of the ingredients are there to enable our guests to experience the quintessential weekend brunch by the waterfront.

Experience Burlington’s best kept brunch secret at Deep City on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am - 2:00 pm. Skip the wait and reserve on resy.com. ( ← link)
